Bishop Braxton elected to Administrative Committee

During the Fall General Assembly (November 14-18, 2010), Bishop Edward K. Braxton was elected to the Administrative Committee of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. He will represent the Bishops of Region VII, which includes all the dioceses in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin.

The Administrative Committee is the governing body of the Episcopal Conference which meets several times a year to set the agenda for the General Assembly meetings and to address various issues under consideration by the American Bishops.

The committee is made up of the chairmen of various committees and the representatives of fifteen regions.
Bishop Braxton also became a member of the committees on Divine Worship, Clergy, Consecrated Life, and Vocations, and Protection of Children and Young People.
