st. augustine's in east st. louis to host gospel choir

    St. Augustine of Hippo in East St. Louis will host a nationally known gospel choir from Memphis, Tenn., Nov. 7-8 at the church.

The choir will sing in concert at the church at 7 p.m. Nov. 7 and at the 10 a.m. Nov. 8 liturgy.

“They are truly a gifted group who travel around the country at their own expense to share their gift of music in praise of our God,” St. Augustine pastor, Father Carroll Mizicko, OFM, said. “To hear them is truly a spiritual experience that will raise your mind and heart in gratitude and praise of our God.”

The choir’s home parish is St. Augustine Catholic Church in Memphis.
