It’s not only fun and educational to have a pastor who writes music and sings, it could be profitable for St. John the Baptist School in West Frankfort.
This diocese has no shortage of creative and talented pastors, and some of them, like Father Trevor Murry, write the music and produce CDs for worthy causes.
Father Murry and fourth-eighth-graders at the school began recording “Songs of a Suffering Servant” in October of 2008, and the CD just came out. Proceeds will benefit the school.
“They love it,” Father Murry said of the choir’s newfound stardom.
Artwork on the CD is done by the students.
Prices vary, depending on how you order it. To find out how to order a copy of the CD or download it online, please consult the school’s web site at www.stjohnswestfrankfort.com
