annual diocesan youth conference scheduled march 28-29

    The Office of Youth Ministry will sponsor the annual Diocesan Youth Conference, March 28-29, at the Gateway Center in Collinsville, Ill.

The theme of this year’s event is “Rooted in Christ.”

The Diocesan Youth Conference is the largest event sponsored by the Office of Youth Ministry annually.
Over 500 high school Catholic teens and their adult parish leaders attended the conference last year.
The conference program focuses upon the eight components of comprehensive youth ministry as identified in “Renewing the Vision.” the document of the United States bishops.

Anna Scally, president of Cornerstone Media, Inc, will be a presenter at the conference.

She is a performer, disc jockey, artist, speaker, and author who uses humor, creativity and a strong Catholic faith to talk with youth and adult audiences. Bishop Edward K. Braxton will be joining the youth through an interactive General Session, and will be the celebrant and homilist at the closing conference liturgy.
