A trip to Africa for Catholic News Service gave the Messenger editor a chance to meet people and listen to their stories. In this slide show are some of the photos that were shot in the Diocese of Eldoret where a "Peace Road" was built and in the town of Burnt Forest where Catholic Relief Services teamed up with the diocese for a voucher program to provide household goods and building materials for people to begin rebuilding their homes and their lives after postelection violence in the Rift Valley in central Kenya.
